I've given it a try. But it seems like no matter what modifications I make (Small ones like resetting weapon durability), the game crashes upon loading

Got this to work now, for those having problems with it sell/destroy all the equipment you do not want and leave yourself with a few basic items ie one shield, one boots etc.
Then take note of your durability of the item it'll help identify it when you open the trainer.

To add an effect double click on the equipment and on the 2nd dropdown box find what you want, enter 1 next to it in the number column, then click on apply. (If you want multiple times of the effect enter 3 eg +10% gold if you typed 3 would give you +30%)

I'm having problems getting it to work with some weapons (daggers) at the moment but its useful for armour as you can add damage onto them etc

I find this extremely useful. Now, I'm able to readily identify the base hex values for unique items, meaning I can turn a steel longsword into Dragonfang, etc.

If anyone is interested, I can post the process and a list of unique item hex codes I've discovered so far.

shoresofexile - please do post the codes for what you've found. I'd like to convert some items into set items. As it is, by the time I find the last of a set, the stats are too low to be useful.
