Amazing how Mass Effect 3 gets more coverage than most of the political troubles of the world.
Oh joy, thou makest me so sad.
Am glad it dose since am bored of the other stuff.
Silly boring real world news. How dare it dominate the news programmes/channels.
I can't post what I really want to say here because it could be construed as a flame/Bash...
I am an old school Gamer. I started on my Tandy Trash 80 which was upgraded to 64KB of ram! Yes I said kilobytes of ram, not megabytes not even gigabytes! My first Sound-blaster Sound card had more ram on board than my first computer did! I have been an Alpha/Beta tester in close to 20 games over my 28ish years of gaming. Several of which were never published. That is not counting the several hundred Game mods or patches I have either taken part in the development of or helped to test. I can tell you right now the major corporations didn't want to hear bug reports or "This does not make sense," comments. In fact if we didn't make the Bug report sound like a FREAKIN FEATURE it was all but ignored by most of the major companies. Rather it was the smaller companies like Bioware was prior to being part of EA that did good with their games. The Best games come from SMALL companies. The BIG companies can advertise the crap out of something and only have to have a reasonable product. Small companies have to have a great product even to just survive.
The above is my opinion based upon my real world experience. Just because I believe it does not mean you have to agree with me.
Oh and for the record, I DID per-order and Purchase the Collectors edition even with my doubts. I pre-Ordered two EA products in this past quarter and NEITHER of them stacked up to their predecessors. Now I have to hope that 2K games does a better job than this with X-COM!
"*Slap!* STICK TO THE POINT, SOSUKE, THE POOOOINT!"
Oh, sorry. Just quoting something from 'Full Metal Panic!'...
I don't get it. Whether or not you like the ending is one thing but ME3 is, in almost every single aspect of gameplay, better than its predecessors... Perhaps one could like 1 more than 3 because it had more RPG-features like phat-loot and the Mako, but we've been all over those facts with ME2.

i dont think he is talking about old games being better than new ones, more about how in his experiences larger companies dont want or need to fix bugs/change gameplay to make money as im sure most of the people posting in the me3 boards have said or thought of boycotting companies for poor products to only buy there latest offering because it looks so awesome in the trailers and be let down with the actual game

Big companies do think about the customers some times. But then some do not and just churn out great looking games at first then the squeals do not match up as they want to cover all grounds to make more money. And being an old school gamer to. I can see his points. But Remakes of games are not always good as the originals. So even tho 2K are a great we company. I will have to wait and see how X-Com turns out. (Plus being an Aplha n Beta tester back in the day, I have seen alot and still today being asked about certain things. Even still connected to Rockstar and many others)
@Monkey007 Thank you for quoting one of my fav animies.
@ben Its companies trying to please everyone. I have to say they should return to exclusives so they are focused on that only on that platform and provide the top quality the little comps have done in the past. They can not please everyone!

Agreed, many games would be of higher quality if they did not have to cater to so many different platforms, and then have to make compromises on certain aspects of the game because one or more of the platforms can not easily accomdate it.
But alas, that is not where the money is in this era of gaming.
