Huh, I wonder if that is due to save importing. Since I remember reading a short synopsis, and according to that Shepard was supposed to be on trial on Earth when the Reapers hit, but the game did not make it seem that way. Again, probably because of save importing, and whether or not you actually played through Arrival.
Looks like Skyheart beat me to it, thats what I had thought, was that the game assumed you had.

And I just edited my post a little before that too.
It definitely assumes you've played Arrival. Anderson points out that you're on Earth because you killed hundreds of thousands of Batarians (though I thought it was only 3000). The only one I remember making a big deal out of working with Cerberus is Ash/Kaiden.
I'm playing through again, and I dunno... the theory is that the kid isn't really there in the beginning sequence and only Shep can see him, the dreams are indoctrination, and the child all along is the Avatar. What's to say that the child is really there and blown up in the shuttle, that the dreams are just the writers way of showing us the stress and mental state of Sheps mind, along with a kind of survivors guilt, and that the Avatar only takes the form of the boy because it can see into his mind, and chooses the boy from that memory as its appearance.

He didn't mention that on the demo, he just said "With the **** you've done, anyone else would have been court marshaled and thrown into the brig to rot." He made some comment about cerberus. CBA to launch the demo and check.

You hear the voices of dead squad mates in the dreams I believe.
Red ending kills Edi and the geth, which is why joker was running away from the blast.
I don't mind green ending, it kind of makes me think about those CGI tv shows about people living in a synth world. E.g ReBoot.
Also the avatar is lying when it says artificials and organics cant get a long as you can get EDI and joker together and the quarians and geth. So the ending is crap.
It reminds me of Deus EX human revolution, at least those endings were slightly different rather then an explosion being a different colour.
Yeah, when I managed to make peace between the Geth and the Quarians, I was like, I just proved you wrong Avatar.

I think the Avatar meant in the future. You have peace now, but over time that could change.
It's like Javik says- synthetics will always be superior to organic life because time is a meaningless concept to them. As long as they have power, they'll live forever. There could come a point here AI's decide that organic life is inefficient, and should either be wiped out or converted.
Basically the Geth could potentially become the new Reapers.
But... I agree with both of you, I like to think I told him to stick it through the Quarians/Geth and EDI.
Oh, and also, Joker is flying the Normandy away from the blast in all three endings. So that doesn't have anything to do with EDI.

That is something I have thought about, and the thing is, synthetic life has is weaknesses just like organic life. Such as technology is not always guaranteed to work, and since synthetic life is completely based on technology, for the most part, when that technology fails, where does that leave synthetics?
But yes, while an AI might preceive organic life as inefficient because organic life would evolve and develop at a slower pace than an AI would, it does not mean AIs will always be more powerful than organic life.
And besides, who is to say that most of it would not develop like EDI and come to appreciate organic life?
