I went with soilder on my first play-through.
And,BTW,a A soilder does have accsess to biotic power, although limited.
The replay value of ME3 is so high that you can experiment with different classes to see which one fits you best.
If you are wanting to play right away and don't want to take the time to research and experiment, then i would go with the Vanguard class. It is basically a Soilder with full access to biotic powers.
You said the Soldier gets limited Biotics? like what?

All I need is Throw, or Pull or something, something to use when I'm out of ammo or when I want to push somebody off a cliff :P
