I've gone to ShopTo and preordered all the games I had on preorder at Game.
I cancelled the preorders and then sent an e-mail telling them to cancel all preorders I have as I'm unable to cancel some of them.
And to finally stick the knife in, told them to cancel my account as I will not be using their company anymore, using this ME3 fiasco as an example.
15/06/11 I placed my preorder, 7 damn months of waiting, then about 1 week from release they hit us with that bombshell, I hope they go bust because they aren't getting my money anymore.

I haven't told them to cancel my account, but I certainly won't be using them anymore.
Well, no, actually I thought about it and I have £4 on my rewards card, and the £5 voucher, so I may get a pre-owned game on their dime. They'll be paying for the entirety of my final purchase... that seems somehow rather satisfying.
They are going bust, that's the problem. I don't think we'll be seeing them on the high street for much longer. To stick another nail in the coffin they also purchased Gamestation a while back, so when GAME goes, so does Gamestation. The final nail is the fact that they're the only two dedicated (retail) game sellers in the UK.

Yep we used to have a GAME in the old part of the town center. Then we got a Games Station in the new part of the town center a few years ago. That was when I found out they where owned buy GAME.
Oh well looks like we need a Games retailer now. To replace this sham-balls of a mess group and I was going to put shares in them as well.
I wonder if I should walk into Game Station and cheathappens my trade in card my Elite Card and my GAME Reward card at them. Out of anger and disgust. Heck I could not even use the promotion code! Well there go's that chance of getting a game for zip.

I'd give it a few days before trying to use the code. It looks like they were generated very quickly, so they may take a day or so for them to actually register and validate.
I've had a dozen or so wallets in the time I've had my GAME rewards card, and that card has always been the first card I've transferred and used the most in about 10 years. Now it's not worth the plastic it's made with. I already had a couple of beefs with GAME over other stuff they've pulled in the past, and as I said, I had planned ME3 to be my last purchase from them anyway. I hadn't even planned on getting ME3 from GAME originally (it wasn't available from any other sellers in the UK, and suddenly now it is... coincidence?) but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. My mistake. I've just lost all confidence in them completely, and so will many other people.
In the US, a game costs roughly $25-30 per copy for a retailer to buy from a publisher. They then sell those games on to us for $60. If they do a similar type of inflation here I can't even imagine how much money GAME just lost.

Al try again later or tomorrow.
