Both Windows (and the configuration window in the back) belong to the same process. The left side (and the configuration window) is hung and non-recoverable. The right hand side works perfectly fine though. Also in the middle note I meant mouse on the left side, not right side.

This happens to me with Skype sometimes. The entire window freezes and I can't do anything (even though I'm still talking to somebody) until I kill the process manually...
Not sure if that counts, though.

I haven't, however I have had a null pointer exception while checking if a string was null. I believe it was caused by premature garbage collection.

I have a program which 90% of the time crashes as it works. It changes the background image in Windows. As I go to change the image, it changes, and in the same second I get the "...has stopped working" window.
