I'm trying out Windows 8 preview and it seems to not like trainers. Some sort of protection or anti-cheat maybe?

We have no idea of telling what it is this early. No trainer has worked for Windows 8 that we know of and would recommend using Windows 7 or earlier if you wish to use trainers. More than likely it's just Windows being incomplete as the current preview is targeted at developers, not consumers.

Probably some inbuilt anti virus which affects every program being run.

Or, maybe it's another "advancement" of UAC.

You are probably right.

We have tested multiple trainers with Windows 8 and they all worked fine.

How did you get authentication to work? All the old trainers that don't require authentication work just fine, but the newer ones always crash on authentication under Windows 8 DP & CP for me.

First post ever on forums. The trainers crash for me on Windows 8 including Shogun 2 and Fifa 12 trainers.

i tested several trainers without incident.. perhaps you should re- download them?

not sure what the problem would be unless there is an admin priviledges issue or something.

windows 8 is windows 7 + a 'touch' tablet addon GUI, basically.

i can try again later this week if we have alot more.

is it possible you can download some of the newer trainers and see if there is any problems with those.

are the trainers crashing when you run them? when you press F1? is it the trainer crashing or the game? etc.
