Fairly short campaign, but if you were gonna buy it for that alone, you'd already have. (Richard K. Morgan wrote the script, don't ask )

That plus the co-op, though, and it's pretty great for anyone. If you're pretty decent with a gun (and character planning) you can solo the co-op missions with some effort, which actually makes them all the more hard-yet-awesome.

Oh no, the campaign is by no means bad, if you like cyberpunk stuff it's very good, and basically everything gets an Infobank wall of text description at some point, including every weapon upgrade in co-op. It's awesome if you realize it's written by an actual author and has tons of throwbacks to the original game.

The voice acting is pretty strong, too. There's basically only three main characters, and you see 'em all within ten minutes so the "Hey, it's that guy!" wears off quick. IMDB'll cure "wait, I've never heard or seen these people before" - Link

Overall, I pretty much can't find anything to dislike other than the currently-standard linear FPS length of the game and the entire conclusion being unsurprising and unsatisfying. But even then, the latter is mostly because I loved Syndicate/:AR/Wars, so it was easy to see coming. But if that's all that's wrong with it for me, I was determined to hate the game pre-launch because it was an FPS reboot.

    So it's good.

I'm by no means an Elite gamer, consider myself mediocre at best and completed it in 6 hours. The game's length is a serious disappointment. I cannot recall a single game that I ever completed this fast and this easily. Hate to say it, but as enjoyable as the game is, which is very enjoyable btw, it is in no way worth $60.00.

Visually its amazing. Story and Acting, top notch. Action including Boss fights, easy.

If you have $60 to waste, buy it. Otherwise, save your cash for the discount rack. Never in 23 years of PC gaming have I said that. It's unfortunate that I had to say it for this title.

Like I said, it's more complicated than that.

The campaign is pretty much a vehicle to shoot stuff, and hunt down every collectible in every nook and cranny. So that you can read. It's incidental that you get to shoot stuff there, there are also three people who talk and provide ample Fridge Horror (You ever found something really awesome at the back of the Fridge that you had no idea was there after repeated looks? Think that, but unadulterated "oh " ) for once you've finished the game and read their dossiers, the dossiers on their associates, the dossiers on where they work, who they work for, and what they're working for.

It's cyberpunk, narrative is incidental to story. Trust me on that if you don't read anything in the genre, or you will lose your mind trying to figure out what I just said.

For everyone else: Co-op, but like, Co-solo. The back of the retail box literally does not mention compelling campaign for a reason. Going the co-op mode alone has more progression, more difficulty, and less reading.

i thought i'd wait to complete the game before i posted my views about the game..but..i just couldn't wait

this is an awesome game. it looks good...the combat system is very fluid...so far i've not encountered any bugs or glitches and handling Origin is a breeze. the weapons feel..real and the story feels not so far-fetched. i'd give it a 8.5/10
