And why would they do that?
Game was bought on the Origin, I don't mess up with it, so why it's illegal?
And where'd you get that info about "keeping an eye" on my account?

It's illegal due to specific laws in place in whatever country you are in, to bypass a date check by using a VPN to spoof your location in the hopes of activating and decrypting data early is illegal.

And as for Bioware flagging accounts, this has been said since yesterday on the developer forums at EA. Which I am privvy to have access to.
Oh and Don't forget some tuts on ASM and defeating DMA

I cannot show you what is said on the developer forums as they are not public domain and private.

But if you want you can check out multiple threads on Bioware's forum about them hinting at it, and how they won't ban you for it but would be not happy at all.

Just seems dumb for people to take a chance with their accounts for the sake of a number of hours. May not get you banned right away but if you do anything else naughty like use a DLC you are not supposed to have while flagged.... well you will then :P

Of course it is, but would cost Bioware a lot in costs just to sue over someone trying to get something quicker than usual. Hence why it is easier to flag an account and watch it like a hawk.

It comes under in most countries Fair Use Law. Although the FUL is primarly there to protect the copyright holders it also affects the temporary usage of copyrighted material without the consent of the owner, in this case the consent being waiting for the release date check to pass and owner being Bioware.

Everything in the internet is public domain you said? Excuse me while I convince PWizard to publish all the credit card information of customers since that passed through into public domain.

(seriously do you guys think about what you say before posting thinking you know all about freedom of the internet)
