is it any good i heard from the reviews that the quests are very simple.

It's an awesome game! Sort of like Fable III meets Oblivion meets The Witcher 2. Running stable and on the highest settings. I have a Intel i7 980x 6X @ 3.33GHz 12MB L3, EVGA Geforce 590 GTX Classified 3GB, and 12GB system RAM. But I'm sure it plays on lower-end systems just fine. My system is pretty much overkill.

My thoughts...

Fable III (fantasy colorful graphics)
Oblivion (similar RPG elements and character customization)
The Witcher 2 (combat and magic)

The only suck part is there's no 1st person view and I wish there were more camera options for closer 3rd person view or over the shoulder view. There is an over the shoulder option but it resets as soon as you move your character. Hopefully they'll improve this in the future.

Loving the game been playing almost 6 hours straight.

I have a amd 1090t and an ati 6850 running full settings max 1080p etc. you dont need anything near overkill to run at max.

How is this thread any different than the "Rate the Game" thread?

this game looks good and i'm thinking of getting it, but i'm wondering if there's any guns or gunlike weapons in this game, i don't mind melee weapons but i prefer killing things in computer games from a distance.

You mean a longbow?

Bow, chakaram(Throwing disks) and magic are the long range weapons in this game.
