Saints Row: The Third Message Board  

my computer says its DX10 but when ever i try to start the game in DX10-11 it gives me a crash error "Saints Row:the Third has stopped working" i have vista and not sure what to do it plays fine in DX9 guess ill just keep playing that way but id still like to know if i can go to DX10

I believe you are running Windows Vista if I am not mistaken. You need to download and install the following components:

Service Pack 2 for Windows Vista
Platform Update for Windows Vista

The above two can be done by running Microsoft Update.

You also need this (DO THE ABOVE TWO FIRST THOUGH!)

Also ensure that your graphics card is capable of running version 10 and 11. DirectX 10 and 11 can be installed on any Windows machine (Vista comes with 10 by default) but if you don't have the hardware for it, you'll always fallback on version 9.
