Before applying this I was getting maybe 30FPS in most areas, 40 if I was lucky and down to 15 if something heavy was going on. Afterwards, I see no lag whatsoever. I run on high-ultra settings with many texture mods, including Skyrim HD, Enhanced Night Skyrim, Realistic Water Textures, and the Flora Overhaul.
I believe you need SKSE, found here: Link and the 1.3.10 patch.
Cheers

It does work, and I'm sure people will appreciate the link (I currently make use of it)!
However, I feel I should point out something here. Although the latest version is improved over the first one, it is still possible for side-effects to occur. Some were experiencing quest-progression bugs for example, after applying this. It may also alter your savegames, meaning that even after removing this layer, there are changes which can't be undone (I'm not dead sure of the latter).
I'd suspect that Bethesda will incorporate this optimizations in the next patch (or soon anyway), purely due to the popularity and discussion surrounding this. It's annoying that major games like this still get released in sub-optimal form, but hey, I'm sure they'll keep patching away

lol beth never patches anything from the community into the game except the 2gb aware flag on the exe, big whoop, was doing that when they were in diapers, lol, I doubt they will "patch in" skse and then add the independent plugin, it's all ways been the community that has addressed small and large bugs and has all ways been up to them to discover those fixes online them selves, never patched in.
