I've noticed there are different levels of color for the weapons in this game, white seems to be basic, green a step above basic, then blue and purple is the highest color i've come across so far, is there any higher color levels?

I wanna say orange is the highest

what level is that at im only at like level 23, 24 something like that.

To my knowledge, the weapon colors have nothing to do with level. the color yellow/gold means it is a legendary weapon, meaning it "should" be more rare and powerful than a purple, blue, green or white of the same level. same game mechanic is used in Diablo, Borderlands, Torchlight etc...

Also, I don't remember what character level I was at when I obtained my first gold weapon. My rapper guy is level 46 and He's collected at least a dozen, so you should be seeing them if you are lucky. The ones that aren't "named" are random drops, so good luck to you.

You're right but, most Orange/Gold weapons can only be used by level 45-50 (max is 50) players so, even if he did find them, he'd still be leveling up to use most of them.

The "named" ones as you mention are also the ones with unique skins. For instance, the Auto-Rifle has a unique named version that's all silver/gray versus the typical version with wood. I forget the full name but it's something-of the motherland.

leveling up is easy enough, i go hit the blood bath arena on very and use the easy kills cheat for max xp, i could max out my levels this but i'd rather do it through completing quests and killing zombies.

Colors from common to rarest;

White, Green, Blue, Violet and Orange.

The most rarest is Orange, and Orange is always the best quality. Most common are White obviously, they're the "worst".

Ironic thing is, how a lot of orange weapons are at Level 24 if they didn't have a specific level set. Same to others, but didn't try it myself. If you reach level 24, I can guarantee you will get, let's say, any type of weapon no matter what elements it has.
