this just my two cents but from what i remeber of the my little ponys(it came out in the 80s) was that if you werent a girl under the age of 10and watched this show then you where a shoein for a job presenting queer eye for the straight guy

The old shows were that way, yeah. I used to babysit a niece of mine that always wanted to watch one of the older shows' reruns. Ugh, those were god awful.
But Friendship is Magic is awesome.
On my WoW server, bronies are commonplace. They even had their own guild.
My Rift guild is Twilight Sparkles, partly because it started as an in-joke to see how many bronies we could convert, partly because the founding members loved the show, and mostly because before I quit WoW, the guild I GM'd was "Nameless Kings of Virtue," and nobody got that it was a joke about all the srsbznz guilds running around.
