This game looks and sounds like something i would enjoy from everything I've Read and seen about it, my question is should I get the regular version or the collector's edition, is getting the ripper, the only thing that might make getting the collector's edition worthwhile, worth the extra money?

If u want the extra stuff like the ripper then collector's is good. but if u just want to play the game without bothering about the weapons then might as well get the standard edition. It all depends on u.i personally got the collector's edition XD.

is the ripper that good of a weapon though to warrant the extra cost?

actually you can put the ripper mod on your savegame with a savegame editor, theres one on a thread here below

and the ripper mod is just a "****" mod, by far not its not the best, but if you buy the collectors edition you will receive the bloodbath arena too

i'm leaning towards the standard version cause finding a copy of the collector's edition at a decent price is proving especialy difficult.

$158 is a little high for a collector's edition isn't it, I think it's high, but i have no basis for comparison, gamestop and amazon have no listings for a Dead Island Collector's Edition, i've seen it for cheaper on ebay, but those sellers don't ship to Canada?
