Hey CH I have a question concerning the "Options Off" mode.
So from what I gather in the readme file, the general idea of this feature is to literally turn off the trainer buffs in one go. However, it says quote:
"Use this before entering battles or as an easy way to ensure the trainer options are off before turns. "
If we leave the buffs on while entering a battle, does this mean that our game will CTD? How/why is this key important?
Ever since the Rise of the Samurai DLC w/patch, my game's been crashing a lot and I'm wondering if it's due to my improper usage of the trainer... or the most likely culprit - EA/CA rushing out patches and DLCs again.
Also, not to rain down on your good work but, if we could turn off the buffs in the first place by pressing the relevant buff activation key, what was the point of adding in the options off buff in the first place? Is it something to do with stability of the game/trainer?
If this info is available somewhere on the website i apologize but with a lot of speculation from gamers on why the game is CTDing with actual data, it's kind of hard to tell which is fact and which is speculation.
Thanks!
P.S. Stellar work as always!
the game literally scans itself for changes done to it's code. you need to use this option to return the game back to it's original code form so that when certain events happen (i.e. like entering battles and taking turns) the game won't detect it has been manipulated and crash. Also, certain options are shared by the AI and for various parts of the game. it's best to turn off the options before letting AI do anything (like when you press the next turn button).
lastly, I would save quite often, maybe even before entering any battle or pressing next turn OR if you did alot of things and it hasn't crashed (i.e. you are destroying or moving alot of troops etc.)
i hope this clears things up. i done all i am going to do with this game in regards to trying to get the trainer to NOT be detected and work for SP games without much issues.
best,
Cal

gotcha! now i understand.
i'd hate to add extra work for you guys but perhaps it maybe helpful for those who actually do read the ReadMe to help them understand the point of the options off? the existing instructions/point of the options off doesnt quite explain the mechanics behind this and may cause some unnecessary complaints on the board.
once again, great work guys!
tough work you guys do with so little appreciation!
