I normally have no problems with this, but every once in a great while I'll download a trainer only to have it stubbornly refuse to extract or copy anywhere outside the zip file. So, with that in mind I try to open the file directly from the zip file and get a similar response. It will go through the regular motions of copying and transferring the file (i.e. a progress bar will appear start to fill and disappear.) And then nothing. No error message, or virus warning. Nothing. Is this some deeper rooted system problem for me? Or is this or a common problem? Any help or advice is welcome. It seems to happen more often with trainers for older games, like Titan Quest.

That's my usual " go to" solution for this sort of problem. All AV software is closed and off. Doesn't seem to matter with this particular problem.
