ATI have an updated driver for RAGE. It has been out about a week ago. With the Rage update as well, there are no more glitches and plays very smooth.

Also, if I play without the trainer, there are no crashes at all. As others suggested, disabling god and easy kill before going to new area helps to reduce the number of crashes.

I dare say that ATI and AMD both said DO NOT INSTALL THEIR PATCH. I seriously doubt you are getting a "smooth" video, if you are, you are a rare breed and my hat is off to you as thousands of other folk are having the same graphic issues.
Post your rig settings please, share some insight with the rest of us poor folk who are suffering with a crappy release.
Graphic resolution, chipset, processor, memory config Etc.
im having problems with these game nearly every time i go into a new area the loading screen crashs i just dont know whats causeing it
also im finding the rendering is really bad im runing w7 64 bit ultimate with 4gb ram and hd 6770 radeon graphics card my graphic drivers are up to date like i said when i suddenly turn a round the graphic detail takes a few seconds to display properly ive tried turning the rendering down same problem its like playing on an xbox fallout 3 and vegas where simlar but not these bad
anyone else having these problems
You are not alone my friend, thousands are suffering from a premature release for the PC I'm afraid. Even with their so called "patch" the game lacks the quality I have come to expect from ID.
My graphics suck, and I have two Nvidia 550 TI's running overclocked and in SLI mode, and even with the lowest setting, the graphics just plain "suck ass".
ID software should be issuing return checks for this game. The claimed it is one of a kind with stunning graphics Etc.
What a load of balogna!

Intel Quad core @ 3.2 Ghz (Q9450)
8GB RAM DDR2
2x160Gb HDD in RAID 0 (Windows + apps storage)
1x500Gb HDD
HIS ATI Radeon HD 6850; 1Gb VRAM
ATI Catalyst RAGE performance driver
Win 7 64bit
Rage settings:
1680x1050 resolution limited by my monitor
Vsync - ON
Texture Cache - LARGE
Anisotropic Filter - HIGH
AntiAliasing - 8X
Basically all maxed out.
FPS displayed by Fraps doesn't drop under 60 fps (because vsync is on, the fps is limited to the refresh rate). Also, no video glitches at all.
I must admit, graphically it doesn't look like a 2012 game.

Also tried capturing a video with Fraps, but it doesn't like it at all; both game and Fraps crashes to desktop.
