Just wanted to add, I tested the game on a different computer and its still crashing after logging into GFWL. It must be a check GFWL does after loading the trainer which the skidrow patch bypases but removes all online functionality

LIVE does interfere a bit seeing how other trainers for that system have behaved (Pretty sure the Dead Rising 2 trainer overcame this as did later trainers for LIVE supported games.) so it's understandable that for the retail edition using a modified exe that removes LIVE (Not the disc check since the game does not use that.) would make it more compatible, unsure how the Steam version works though.

Also there isn't that much of a downside to replacing the exe unless you put in a lot of progress already since with a modified exe you'd sacrifice any LIVE functionality such as MP though the trainer is meant for SP usage primarily (and achievements plus DLC will be unsupported but I find that rather minor myself, DLC here is usually only bonus outfits as well.) plus that above again about the saves not being compatible with any LIVE functionality. (Some encryption or customization against your specific LIVE profile.)

Trainer works fine here but I don't know how many different editions of the game (Or game exe or how to say it.) there might be.
(Regional differences and possible censored variants for example plus that stuff about Steam, retail, digital and with LIVE or without.)

Game could use a patch though, maybe that would also make the trainer more compatible, no idea though.

Yeah i'm using the Skidrow crack for the retail version as well and i'm also unable to use the trainer.
The functions don't work at all but the crashes happen when i try to pick something up. Does anyone have a similar problem?

I'm unable to use the trainer as well. Crashes about 3 seconds about I activate the trainer at the main menu. I have the digital copy from gfwl marketplace. The trainer for DR 2 worked and I got it from the same place. I can send you the .exe if you'd like.

I've tried everything in the troubleshooting guide except for the no-dvd fix because there is no dvd fix for this game since it doesn't require you to have the dvd in anyway. If you know where I can get one then pm me the link.

Yes I googled it and I clicked on every site on the first page of results and none of the sites had a no dvd fix.

Edit: Found the skidrow no dvd fix but it disables gfwl, which disables achievements. Hopefully enough people will post and convince the people who made the trainer to alter the retail version so it works with the one from the gfwl marketplace.

Once again, no plans to support ANY other versions than RETAIL and STEAM.

Is the retail version based on the Skidrow crack or is it based on the original retail exe? I'm guessing it's based on the skidrow crack since I have the retail version and it crashes when the trainer is initiated. Though the game itself crashes pretty often even without the trainer so really what we need is a patch.

Well you guys must have did something different, or gfwl did, because the dr 2 retail trainer works on the digital version from gfwl but it doesn't on this. Plus people are posting that they have the retail version and it isn't working so perhaps it needs to be recoded.

USE THE NO-CD FIX WITH THE RETAIL TRAINER OR BUY THE STEAM GAME. PERIOD. END OF DISCUSSION.
