it is if you havent played me2 with a me1 character but if you have then me2 is the better affair i saved the akrin and the warlord and the council and it changed the game playthrough which makes the replay value massive masseffect would have to be one of the best franchises around and cant wait for me3 but if they make it multiplayer,co-op or online i wll have a breakdown
I have played ME2 with an imported character from Mass Effect 1 and doing things like saving the council makes very little differecne in the story itself in Mass Effect 2 except for the fact that you are reinstated as a Spectre and that hopefully there will be an even bigger advantage in savinng the council when you play Mass Effect 3.
I'm not sure what warlord you are reffering to unless you mean Urdnot Wrex who I always save from being killed. And I hate to say this but I'm not sure what the other thing is that you referred to is.
One other note I think the best way to play Mass Effect is to play Paragon all the way.
I do agree with the idea that Mass Effect is the best computer game series I have ever played and it is the best work I have ever seen from Bioware.

Yeah, but apparently doing those things might help in ME3. Could be that Bioware will make those events important in a way that is crucial, mainly because the key aspect in ME3 seems to be diplomacy. Otherwise everyone will be "Shepherd, y u no save the council?"
I like the environments in Mass Effect 2 more than Mass Effect 1. When I go to different planets they don't seem copy and pasted like they did in Mass Effect 1. Especially the locations for the side quests in ME1 really seemed to be copy and pasted.
The copy and pasted enviorments didn't bother me in Mass Effect 1. I enjoyed the little stories that sometimes went with the side missions, thats what kept them intersting for me.
I don't know if I already said this but in Mass Effect 1 the story was better and the characters and how they related to Shepard were more interesting as well.
In my opinion, Mass Effect 1 is MUCH BETTER than Mass Effect 2. ME1 is a true RPG, one of the best. The storyline is excellent, and it has a ton of skills, armors, weapons and upgrades.
ME2 is an FPS with a few biotics/tech tossed in. The storyline is average, the skills are few, and there is almost no choice in armor and upgrades. In short, it's a weak sequal to one of the best RPG's ever made.
I do think that Mass Effect 2 is a good game and deserves to be played but I agree with you for all the reasons you mentioned that Mass Effect 1 is a much better game.
