I think there is something wrong with the Steam version of the game. I've been playing the Steam version for the last week and twice it has crashed on me. And yes I ma using the 1.02 version of the Steam trainer. The reason I think it is the Steam version that is the problem is that when I was playing the retail version of the game it never crashed on me.

I wonder is this happening to anyone else who is playing the Steam version of the game.

Well I uninstalled my graphics drivers and installed the drivers that came with my system when I first bought it and since yesterday the game has only crashed on me once, where as before it was crashing on me every ten to fifteen minutes.

Well the game has started crashing more frequently again. If anyone has any ideas how or why this is happening your feedback would be more then welcome.

My ssytem configuration is:

Windows 7 Home Premium
I7 Intel CPU 3.33 GHZ
Two Geforce 480 graphics cards NOT in an SLI configuration
6 gigs of ram

I would like to think that it's just a problem with the game itself but at this point I'm not sure.

All I know is that I never had this problem when I was playing the retail version of the game and now that I am playing the STeam version of the game it is crashing on me often.

Just in case it was the graphics card drivers I have uninstalled my graphics drivers and installed the drivers that came with the system.

I'm having this same problem. Running Steam 1.02 trainer. Getting the game crashing at the weirdest times. I can run this on Hardcore without the trainer I just wanted to speed fast through it. Game is crashing and its a pain.

I think there is a tool in the launcher to reset cache or something like that,

I kept having ME1 crash all the time, After I hit that tool it seemed to fix everything.

Check your files via steam

I can now play the Steam version of the game without it crashing BUT in order to do that I have to not only reinstall the graphics drivers that originally came with my system but I have to run both the game and the trainer in compatability mode for Windows XP service pack 3.

Since I started running the trainer and the game like that I have not had any crashes.
