Patch 1.02 as just been issued by Steam for this game. Now, can we work on a trainer--Pretty Please with strawberries and cream on top?

There seems to be no trainers or cheats for this game anywhere on the NET. How about a NET public relations coup and create a trainer or a cheat? Only areas that need help are: money, private capital, coal, steel and manufactured goods.

Seems cheating resources (coal etc) is more or less pointless as too much of it only will mean the game engine automatically sells it all off and/or lets a corrupt beurocracy handle it (about 99,9% at worst).
However, it is possible to cheat money (both kinds).

Go into your Pride of Nations\VGN\Events folder
then theres two suposedly working cheat versions, since I went mad and used both, Im not sure if both or either is working version, I publish both verssions.

Version 1:
Open Plugin_1850GC.sct in notepad or similar, it should be empty
copy paste this into it

SelectFaction = JAP
StartEvent = Money arrival|1|2|Infinite Money!|Benefactor.png|$Edo|NULL
Conditions
MinDate = 1850/01/01
Actions
ChangeResStock = $merMoney;1000000
ChangeResStock = $merCapital;1000000
EndEvent

Change faction and (JAP) and capital (Edo) to whatever nation your going to play. This, is suposed to give a crapload of money.

Version 2:
Make a new script file yourself (say aa.sct) in the same folder.
In the game, press ´ for console.
Type: ForceEvent aa
Press enter
should do about the same thing as first but force it if it for some reason refused to go off

Leaving my original here since I havent checked any of this properly and it may be of some help somehow.

Adding this to the Plugin_1850GC.sct should fire it (in theory) every single turn, keeping your stuff restocked despite irritation moments like corruption. Good luck.

hey i hope ur not busy to check my message but i just bought pride of nations for steam but i cant fine my game folder for it to get into changing things wit the info of the money cheat and changing year. hit me up! thanks!

I thought I would offer some of my mod work on this game. It took me a long time to figure out where they place things/language....but the fruits of my labor are here.

If playing Prussia put this in the "plugin_1850GC.sct" folder. Then fire the event. It will allow you to absorb all the German states to create the Greater Deutsch Reich. I have some more if anyone is interested?

I love playing this game and see a trainer request posted - I thought this was closed? The game is not very difficult to mod files and adjust variables. As stated above, "sells it all off and/or lets a corrupt beurocracy handle it" - this is the only frustrating difficulty when modding. AGEOD games have the basic same game engine and locations of files to mod.
