Strangely, I have found few weapons of any quality in chests. I did find a gold weapon or two, but no legendary ones, and they were not the best from a damage point of view, though better than "flimsy", "debilitating", or "tiring"!
Some of the best guns have been pickups from dead guys and even exceeded those that I put in stores. I have never seen a "Crowd Pleaser" in a chest OR from someone I killed though I kill every Raskol in the game I can find just to search for guns. So I added them to a few stores and found the quicker firing rate to be quite useful.
I don't remember how many hours I have played the game exactly now, though it is over 270 with three different characters. It would be more but they keep updating it and I like to use the trainers they have here for weapon durability and ammo at the very least. I have never seen a sword, for instance, wear out and become "unusable" at anything like the rate they do in this game without a trainer. Heck, some swords from the middle ages and katanas of equal age are still in use or on display after hacking through hundreds of bodies and armor! Granted, they might become less sharp, but they would still serve as a pretty good weapon even as a more "blunt instrument". Also, I have never known anyone to "wear out" a knife of decent quality and indeed some have been passed down from father to son and are still carried on a daily basis. A metal morning star would still be useful regardless of how many skulls you bash with it!
