Is there anyway to mod a unlimited reload "cheat" where you can still have your magazine run out but not your total supply. If not no big deal the trainer is awesome.

I jsut modded both my clip and ammo storage to be 9999, thats near enough.

Yeah that does sound good, which files indeed to we edit

After extracting the data0.pak file navigate to \Data\Skills
open default_levels.xml, and navigate down to
MaxAmmoPistol, change all 4 values for the ammo to whatever you like, i went with 9999. Thats your spare ammo done.

Theres also a few others values you can change there, like reload time multiplier.

Anyway, next up are the files Inventory.scr and Inventory_gen.scr. In the \Data\ dir. Open them and search for any AmmoCount referance, and change them to anynumber, i went with 9999 again. Once youve changed them all in both files, thats your clip done. Amongst the ammo count, are the vaules for the ammo you craft, changing this will make filling you ammo much easier, however, i dont recommend going as high, thsi may crash the game, so i went with 999 for those.

Have fun unloading 9999 rifle rounds with an ak47 ; )


Dont forget with any modding, extract the files before editing them, and keep the same directory structure in your \Documents\DeadIsland\out\Data. Also its a good idea to disable VAC in the menu so theres no chance of trouble
