Fallout: New Vegas Message Board  

Hi,

just downloaded the latest New Vegas Trainer 1.4.0.525.

For starting and activating I followed the description in the readme, but each time after I activated (F1) the trainer, the game crashes to the desktop. Leaving the trainer deactivated the game starts just fine.

Are there any known issues e.g. with some specific mods? I'm using the Steam-Version of the game and have installed dead money, honest hearts and old world blues.

Please help...

To your question, yes, he trainer can conflict with some mods that alter your character in the same way(s) that the trainer itself does, such as "god mods" and the same problems can happen if you use those type of commands in the games built-in cheat console.

However, your crash occurring at the activation of the trainer suggest there is something else happening. An immediate crash is "usually" the sign of using the wrong trainer for the game version you have.

If your DLCs were just installed during the recent sale this week, there is a very high chance your install has been corrupted by incomplete files. Go to your Steam Library, right-click the game and select Properties. Click the Local File tab and click Verify Integrity of Cache. BE CAREFUL: it's right next to the Delete Game button.

Also if you have been launching the trainer at the games main menu before loading your save game, try loading your game first, and then launching the trainer after you are in-game.

To make a long story short, tried anything you wrote but no change. Maybe it will work with the next game and trainer version. Until then I will have to play without the trainer. Will be a very new experience to me

I have the same version and the same problem.
Game is crashing after the trainer is activated.

No solution in sight!?

sounds like a GERMAN exe difference problem. German versions of games are not supported. Also note that DLCs are not supported either.

Okay, I will test it and download the english version.

I cannot change the language.
Only a german version is available for Germany on steam.
