Hey all,
I'm having trouble trying to use Giant Alice's Stomp ability.
I assign the key to my right mouse button and other keyboard controls but for some reason I can't use it.
As a result I'm stuck where you have to stomp the heart after destroying the tower to move on.
Any Suggestions? 🤔
Thanks
ALMA

Does it have a cooldown timer? If so and your'e using the trainer to toggle other functions on/off maybe its stopping it.

The controls are a general problem. I had to play the whole game without umbrella and focus because the keys didn't work. Best thing is: Reset to default and don't change anything. Changing key defs in the contol .inis didn't work for me either. Really bad porting from console.

I never had issues with using the umbrella. But it does require a lot of timing to be used effectively. I am using a 360 pad.

Are people getting lots of control problems then? Cos i cant get jump working properly, making platforming frustrating. i swear its not just me, its really haphazard.

Honestly, I'm not having any problems with the controls (keyboard + mouse). The umbrella is tricky as you have to be locked on to an enemy to use it and then you have to time it just right. I read the user review that said that things were really "touchy" (such as being easy to fall off a ledge or whatever if just a little piece of Alice is hanging off) and I'm not having any of those problems at all. I do fall off of things but it's my mistakes usually because the target is small (or hidden and needed to see with 'shrink sense' which you can't use in mid-air without the caterpillar dress). I love this game. I'm about half-way through now. I'd be farther along if I had more time to play. However, comparing this to American McGee's Alice, which I still have the original discs (wow, 11 years ago, am I showing my age? LOL) well, it just doesn't compare. I actually like the graphics from the old one better and everything just seemed "darker" in the original. The enemies get old,in this new one, fighting the same things all the time, and I miss the deck of cards "weapon" from the first, but I still love this game. And as far as control problems, I'm not having any at all. The only thing I keep getting is that anti-cheat pop-up that shuts down the game. I don't understand why that's there for a single player game but it's not bad enough to make me want to stop playing. I also love Dragon Age 2, which many people seem to abhor. Maybe I'm just easily pleased? Either way it doesn't matter, I don't feel like I wasted my money on this game like I feel like I have on many games that have been released this year.
