I posted a thread in a sub-forum, but maybe with the more people here, ill get somebody who had the same problem. I have a clean install of windows 7 32-bit with no anti-virus or firewall, and UAC disabled. Any unlimited-only trainer i use cant seem to activate. An example is the most recent trainer for The Witcher Enhanced Edition. I can use the older, non-copy protected trainers. Obviously they don't work and crash the game, but the trainer itself doesn't lock up. When i use a copy-protected trainer the "trainer activated" noise keeps repeating over and over and the i have to kill the unresponsive trainer process.
I have the newest CCCP, windows DEP is set correctly/disabled, and my temp folder has full permissions.
Any help would be appreciated. I know it has to do with the copy-protection, but literally the only security i have on this network is the router's basic Upnp firewall. I'm immensely frustrated.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. Ive tried disconnecting from the network and using the offline code method. It also doesn't work

I am going to take a stab at thinking it is an old sound card driver :P
Oh and Don't forget some tuts on ASM and defeating DMA
as far as the sound driver, i couldn't tell you. But it has no problem as long as its not an unlimited one. the previous version ones play all the noises no problem. I tested also with Battlefield: Bad Company 2. That trainer does the same thing

go ahead and update your sound card driver to newest version. unplug all unnecessary USB devices. kill that zunelauncher process, java process and list all started services.

Goto start type in search box, dxdiag
And run it
When it does it's thing when it appears, click on save all information and save to the desktop.
Open it up, using notepad or wordpad, and look for the sound card details, check the date of the driver.
If its a couple of years old, check for a recent driver and try again

Follow these instructions in this Microsoft KB article describing how to boot your computer into Clean Boot Mode. This will effectively disable all 3rd party services and 3rd party programs from launching at start-up. This helps to troubleshoot to see if any programs are conflicting with the trainer. After you've rebooted in clean mode, please try to launch the trainer again:
