There's no reference in the trainer (instructions) that the cheats would work on any other character in the game than the player's char. Also, have you tried what is suggested?

'...You may need to save the character and reload to make the options take hold and affect the character properly.'

Ahh well its working using health potions. Its what I mostly use on the trainers. Health/god and gold cheat. Stats and level I let it work normaly without cheats. Was hopeing to use Health/god cheat on the companions aswell so I could use the armor and weapon as I wanted to have the certain look. Like transmog on world of warcraft.
