Oh yeah dude, you're missing out! Just started playing it today and it's definitely an awesome game.
Spoiler:Was shocked at the very nude cut scenes at the beginning. Started off with T&A and has tons of violence & gore - now this is my kinda game!
This off course is all topped off with some of the best graphics I've seen in an RPG of this size. Is it not available via Steam in India?
For those worried about system performance... My system is a bit dated and they still look great and the game play is nice and smooth.
I'm only using a single ATI 4890 card on an E6600 duo core 2.4 processor with 4GB of RAM on a Vista 32-bit OS.
The Witcher 2 plays great on this dated system with no lag and I'm using medium to high settings with most other graphical options enabled as well. Even using AA and Bloom with light shafts.
I only disabled motion blur which I turned off for personal reasons. I originally had it on and it was working fine in the game so if you like it and you have a system similar to mine or even better then it should work for you with no probs. I just get dizzy from that effect and I've never liked that distorted effect in any game.
Anyways, I HIGHLY recommend this game to anyone looking for a very mature RPG with lots of dialog. Reminds me of Mass Effect 1 and 2 a bit with the dialog (there's quite a lot) and the sword and magical fighting is much better than it was in the original Witcher game. More control over the main hero.
My only complaint about the game is the jumping and climbing. That still feels like the original Witcher game. You have to get close to the right spot and use the "mouse 1" button so the hero can automatically climb or jump the obstacle. Wish they would have added the fluidity and control of the sword and magic to these things as well so that it felt more like a platformer like Assassin's Creed. Without the ability to jump in games like this you feel a bit constricted and forced to walk around places where you wish you could simply jump.
I'd give the game a 9.5/10 from what I've seen so far.
