Witcher 2, The - Assassins of Kings Message Board  

I'm stuck at the part where you're carrying the King across the bridge to the Solar with the dragon chasing you. I've tried it a hundred times and the dragon always kills us. A few times I've gotten to the interactive bit where you hide to the right as the dragon breathes fire, but immediately afterwards the dragon catches up and kills us again.

Does anyone know the trick to getting past this? Right now it doesn't seem possible.

The easiest way to do it is to Turn the difficulty to easy and hold down "s"

I suggest you uncheck "difficult qte" (this will remove the required qte where you have to duck the dragon's fire breath) in option menu and as soon as sequence starts, head downward and don't let go of the button. It should be as easy as pie.

The best way I did it was use the shield rune.

I used the shield rune and ran to the gate, at that point, you are relatively safe from the dragon but then you gotta handle multiple enemies.

Best way to do this is to read the thread already made for this quest.

Hi, I am having the exact same problem, I am playing the pc game, you are supposed to keep hitting right mouse button when flashing sign appears, but no flashing sign appears, I can't move, we all get killed over and over. <
By the way tried it in Easy mode with the Difficult QTE turned off , no difference.p>Did you manage to to sort this out??

I got past this part yesterday, on normal with qte turned off. I found it easy to get past if you keep to the left side of the bridge as we look at it. When the dragon gives chase, start running with S but hit A to get to the left side.

Right after the QTE dodge to the right side, get back over to the left side with A again as you keep running down the bridge with S.

Only hit A once at the start, and once after the qte.

Doing it this way and starting off on the left of the bridge after the start and the qte got me through it in one try. Hope this helps anyone stuck at this part!
