every game that i own that has steam, always has some kinda issues with it and wotnt work right. sometimes the trainers here dont work either for me. I just dont like it. it seems like the guy standing over your shoulder and watching your every move. theyre are some redeeming qualities however theyre not enough to make me not like it. I enjoy the auto update, and the diskless feature. but it just seems to monoploizing to me.

If there weren't half a dozen other competing services - D2D, GamerGate, et al - then, sure, monopolizing. Since that isn't the case, I fail to see how "monopoly" applies.

Steam is just a program that lets you download various games from various companies. Its not steam's fault if you download a bad game, or your computer can't handle it (example (my old graphics card couldn't even handle civ 5 on DX9, let alone 10 or 11, but that's not Steam's fault)) face it, just about every gaming company is using steam, (bar Blizzard ,Stardock and a few others) its easy to sign up, has (in my opinion) better player to player coeducation than face book, and has lag free voice chat (DAM YOU VENT!!! ); so I fail to see whats wrong with steam? P.S. you cant tell me that TF2 and Portal are not awesome!!

It just sits in your Pc like a black cancer. It loads up massive updates without waiting for a by your leave and goes down for maintenance without warning. thats whats wring with steam. oh yeh and if you get a game from amazon etc and arent savvy to it you may be saddled with long uneccesary downloads without knowing to avoid.
