hey, guys
I´ve bought a new pc. Downloaded the napoleon and shogun 2 trainers. Generated an offline key. I´ve put them on the desktop together. Anyway, trying to start any of the trainers wouldn´t work offline.
Any hint what I´m doing wrong.

disable/uninstall all av, firewall and other security software. internet must be completely disabled. run trainer as Admin.

At first - thanks for the quick reply.
Disabled the guard-function - ran it as admin
Didn´t work out. The trainers aren´t actually blocked by the av software (using AVG 2011) (at least not obviously).
The message I´receive is just about the authentication procedure.
Seemingly the trainers just do not "acknowledge/ recognize" the placed key.
Sorry for these inconveniences. But before disinstalling the avg I´d like to be sure that this "blockade" is definetely and without exception caused by the avg.
Again I didn`t receive any warning about the trainers.
Do not know if it is of any importance but the online authentication is functionable.

The offline key will only work when there is no net access to your PC.
Also when downloading your offline key, open up the zip file and check the actual file inside the zip is more than 0 bytes (not the zip itself but inside it)
Oh and Don't forget some tuts on ASM and defeating DMA

Actually it is 0 bytes.
As posted before - I´ve got me a new pc. Could it be some interference thingy...I mean the old pc had another machine ID which should match the key file...or so

It should be more than 0 bytes. That is what I meant. If it is exactly 0 bytes then it failed to download right. Try again.

thx dab...
downloaded the zip.file several times before-always with the same result- 0 bytes...BUT just opening the file and extracting the key directly from your page without saving the zip.file to the desktop did the trick...odd..
You brought me on the right track... thx for your patience!
