The console can still be activated via the control settings at the main menu,
As far as it screwing up achievements goes i have yet to see any interference,

Has anybody else had any problems unlocking them when using the console?

Using the console doesn't screw up achievements unless you use sv_cheats 1. In that case, exit the game and go back to where you were when you exited the game.

As for enabling the console, Options ---> Controls ---> Advanced ---> Enable Developer Console (~).

Trainer is not working and when i turn it on when in-game, it crashes... also i have the right version any idea?

I think the game was updated quite recently. Today, actually, which is what my Steam News says.
