I have recently been retrying to complete ME 2 with all team members surviving, yet, it seems impossible, and I have at least two members die on me (Mordin and Tali on last try).

All my team members are loyal, and my last try had me use:

Tali: Tech specialist
Garrus: second team leader
Jack: Biotic Specialist
Grunt: Leading the Normandy crew back
and at the final bit I had Miranda and Legion.

Yet even with this as a recommended team set up I still lose Mordin (personal Favourite) and Tali (another personal favourite).

Is it possible to finish the game (with trainer) without losing a single team member?

Do you lose Tali and Mordin at the end? Also, did you complete Tali and Mordin's loyalty missions?

Yes, you can have them all survive. Out of 11 replays, I have only lost Mordin once. All other times everyone has survived.

Tech Specialist
* Tali
* Legion

Leadership
* Miranda
* Jacob
* Garrus

Biotic Specialist
* Samara / Morinth
* Jack

Crew Escort
* Any loyal character
(Prefer Mordin because he has the highest risk of dying in combat. More than any other character regardless of loyalty)

Combat Specialist
* Zaeed
* Grunt


Oh and how DARE you let Tali die?

All of your members have to be loyal and your sjip has to be completely upgraded.

You have two walkthrough before the end game against the huge terminator.

The first part, you use for the heat vents;

Tali
Legion
Kasumi (if you have her DLC)

The Fire Team

Garrus
Miranda
Jacob

Take any other team member with you will be fine.

The second part, The Long Walk

Before the long walk, you need someone to get the survivors back to the ship, if you didn't have any survivors, skip this part.

Use Mordin or Zaeed (if you have that DLC)

The Fire Team;

Miranda
Jacob
Garrus

Take with you on the walk either
Samara or Jack For the biotic barrier protection.
Then take any other two you please (I seriously recommend Grunt)

The end run doesn't matter, I have had all of them survive.

Thanks will try this out, oh and yes my ship was fully upgraded, and will use mordin to escort the survivors, (don't have Zaeed, don't like that character at all)

Always use Mordin as the escort to guarantee he doesn't die. In the HOLD the line part of the mission take the least combat savy people with you and make sure you leave Zaeed and Garrus (don't choose them) so they can hold the line. These guys will even save non-loyal squad members. You have to realize even loyal squad members can die if you don't pick the right person especially for fireteam duty.
