I'm just going to let this discussion kick off from comments and ill put in some input on what i think about it. Played the first one, thought it was amazing and even though i was about 10 it totally didn't ruin my view on Alice in Wonderland.
What are your thoughts on the sequel ?

i loved the artwork of the original game, possibly more so than the gameplay itself.

I was at the Download rock festival and the EA hub was there and i played Alice 2 and it was a most beautiful piece of art since the first one. So intricate and huge and inventive. Colorful, bold, sharp and does not stray away from the idea and theme from the original.
Getting it definitely

Alice: The Madness Returns... I give it ★★★★☆ (4 of 5 stars) Graphics ★★★★★ Gameplay ★★★☆☆ Story ★★★★☆ Sound ★★★★★ Originality ★★★☆☆ Total ★★★★☆ The graphics a GREAT as is the Sound. Gameplay brings nothing new; It's a typical 3rd person shooter type game - Because if this, it's originality suffers. The story is great, but it leaves several gaps for the player to figure out. It really doesn't give you the details of what happened between American McGee's Alice and The Madness Returns; at least thus far. It does give small hints in the forms of collectible Memories throughout the world. You miss (or ignore) one, you miss the story. Fortunately, you can replay the Memories from the Pause menu.
I suggest playing Original American McGee's Alice through prior to the Madness Returns.
I give American McGee's Alice ★★★★★ (5 of 5 stars)
Graphics ★★★★★ Gameplay ★★★★★ Story ★★★★★ Sound ★★★★★ Originality ★★★★★ Total ★★★★★
Keep in mind, I gave it 5 of 5 stars based on the original play through. If it were released today with today's graphics and sound, I can assure you I'd give it just the same!
