Hello guys i thought i might as well post here since i cant get any help from steam, sega or creative assembly. I have Core duo 8500e OC 3.547 2-8800gtx SLI oc both 633-1051-1500 4 GBS Dominator 1066 MHZ ddr2 Win Vista 32bit
So heres the problem, the game works fine i can max all settings out runs good. I played like 40-50 turns and then the game started to freeze after AI turn was completed. It freezes and hangs. Then i gotta manually CNTRL_ALT_DEL to end the process. My cards are obviously not DX11 i know that. I have updated all the drivers, ran it in compatablity mode, lower grpahic settings, changed the shader to low. Turned off AVG, re-installed the game. Everything i could think off. I dont know what else to do to stop it from crashing. If i re-load a previous save it will work and crash it seems randomly a few turns later. Please i know this isnt a trainer issue its just i cant even enjoy the game and i cant get help anywhere. I googled it, researched and nothing. Just conjecture towards a resolution. Please i can post my DXDIAG if necessary. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

1. If applicable, update your game to the latest version
2. Check the options menu and ensure the game isn't trying to use DirectX 11 mode (it will cause crashes if it is turned on and you don't have a DX11 card).
3. Attempt to start the game after booting Windows Vista in Clean Boot Mode (Follow: [url]support.microsoft.com/kb/929135'>Link)
Your bitterness, I will dispel

thank you for answering , how do i verify that it isnt using DX11? Is that in game options or steam options? to answer you question about version its the 3272 i verified it is the most up to date. I did edit my msconfig to just bootup AVG, steam and my temp monitor thats it. But i havent attempted a clean boot yet. Im gonna try.

im so tired of it crashing im gonna start fresh in the morning to attempt more if any different approaches to fixing this. If anyone knows what is causing this dynamic link library crash please help. I think its got to do with shogun2.dll its the file causing the crashes. But dll are so common anything could be doing it. But then again i could be totally way off. Seriously the game has froze then CTD 50-60 times. its roughly 3am eastern here in new york. Thanks again NEO for giving me a few things to try tomorrow. I hope they work....

For one, I can tell you your are not running on all 4GB ram. And your SLI cards is eating most of that RAM up.
You need a 64bit OS.
And obviously try without Overclocking.

Yea your right, i tried making another page file on my other hard drive to make space. But yea i only get 3.7GB out of the 4 in 32 bit. When SLI is running i get up to 3.5 usuage pretty much maxing out the availble ram. I tried reseting everything, i did a clean boot, i even disabled sli nothing its still crashing. Its seems random, but its always happens the same way, as soon as AI turn is over, Freezes and hangs and i gotta manually end the process. On a side note, when i validate the files thru steam it always reaquires 3 files. Some how 3 files are getting corrupted some how.

can someone please help me, ive been having this problem for so many days now, i really cant play or enjoy this game. Ive tried everything, clean boot, reinstall, ran in compatability mode, disabled antivirus, lowered graphic settings, lowered shader to 3 low, posted a topic in steam, posted a topic here, sent a ticket to sega west tech support, installed new drivers video & sound, lowered resolution, i even disabled SLI and ran it in single GPU mode. Can a forum tech moderator please review my case please i implore you. Thank you for taking the time to read this i hope someone can finally help me.
