I was following this thread and just became verified so I could post.
I was having the same issues as many have posted here with the trainer not working. I am not sure why but I tried just about everything that has been posted and nothing seemed to work.
I am running Kaspersky and that seems to be a bit of a problem disabling and anything short of uninstalling it was pointless as it could not be killed or stopped completly. I am not 100% sure that it was the problem tho. I ahve many trainers from here and they all seem to work just fine with Kaspersky running so I didn't expect this one to.
But the work around is rather simple.
Run the trainer in Windows XP SP3 compability mode and that worked great for me, the trainer now works just fine.
Some of you might have found this anyway by now. I think it was posted in another thread, but I thought it was worth while to update this thread with a possible fix for those who might still be having problems.

You can set your trainer to be excluded in your Anti-Virus program, as for how on Kaspersky I dunno as I personally haven't ran all different AV's out there. But it should be in the options.
Better than uninstalling or disabling the Anti-Virus.

Yup I sure did that and still didn't work, even disabled it. Windows XP SP3 compability mode fixed it.

New member today, paid for unlimited membership after agonizing for weeks as to the validity of these trainers. Have Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, specs not important because it isn't a crap system by a long shot. Refreshed the drivers BEFORE downloading my "custom" trainer. Not only do the features not work, my gold disappeared and then it CTD after trying to activate unlimited moves.
What a joke. At least with Pay pal I have recourse. When you sell a crappy product, you better make sure it works. Retail version, updated. Compatibility mode doesn't work, excluded in virus scanner doesn't work.

The problem here is with all software there is no 100% compatibility success, as some PC's and software combinations may in turn cause problems.
But the unlimited move option especially when ending a turn has been known to crash the game.
I have used the trainer with no problems myself, some others had problems.. but when people dont tell us the problems fully with their system specs what software they have running etc, then its hard to trace what is going on.
Plus its best this is all posted in the main trainer thread where all the info is collated, people would have noticed in that thread there is the unlimited move problem being talked about etc.
Only thing I can say to you Oldeguy is make sure the trainer version is correct for your current version of the game. And to make sure nothing is blocking it and it is being run in administrator mode.
