Regarding the Ultimate Trainer 1.2.0.352, Unlimited Health, Bottlecaps, No En....

I'm loving New Vegas, but it stuttered, crashed and froze up more than a Turrets syndrome kid having a seizure. So, I went ahead and installed some perf. mods, mouse accell'ing, D3D9 patches, etc. Then I found the Steam-Friendly 4GB Enabler. YAY! Tried it out, loved it. I go to press F1 to start the trainer. "GAME NOT FOUND" So, does anyone know how to edit trainer's app. dependency to the 4GB.exe? Thanks.

Do not know how to do that. But like I stated in another game. The trainer may not work properly or at all if you use mods or an exe editored mod.

I guess it'd require that you found some way of cracking the trainer, and if you do that I doubt it'll work at all... I can understand all the copyprotections for copyrighted property from all sides, but really, it's starting to turn into such a horrible thing, also here from cheathappens, that it makes proper usercustomization of "garbagecoding" impossible.

The OP asked if possible if the trainer can look for another exe file, the answer is no, the trainer and its options have been designed to work for a specific version of the game and a specific process.

Changing what file or process to use won't matter as the coding for the options will be different and they won't work.

As for the suggestion of "cracking the trainer" lets not go there.

Thanks everyone. Won't try to crack the trainer,as I have no idea or illegal intentions of doing so. Problem is, I want cheats, good performance, AND still get Steam Achievements (As console-codes disable 'chievements upon ~key press, so no luck there.)
But I guess that's too much to ask for...lazy Obsidian!

As an example of copyprotection gone AWOL, I can't jsut go in and change the large address awareness flag for the new vegas exe, because if you do that the exe file won't be recognized by steam as a real exe for the game, and if it isn't recognized, that means no playing your game... pure and simple. I'd imagine I'd run into the same problems if I tried tinkering with a CH-trainer, not to mention I'd probably get a ban since the trainer is connected to my profile...

It's just an example of how things are starting to go badly for the companies due to wanting to protect themselves so much, while it's fully understandable in every way for me, it's still turning into more and more of an obstacle for the people who buy their software legally, as opposed to it stopping illegal distribution, which still happens overnight most of the time.
