Very true but that is all changing regardless, games are gaining stricter anti-piracy measures and stricter everything. A lot of games now have things in place where you cannot play the game on one computer or the other regardless of if it's retail, D2D or steam bought. Take example StarCraft 2. You can play it on another computer, however to do so you are forced to change your pass everytime the individual logs in to StarCraft using that CD Key from another computer.
Yes, but at least with SC2, you can play it on another PC with another account, it doesn't matter that you have to load the account. But Steam won't let you play on ANY other account, unless you have a completely different purchased game. Screw that!
On EA game (like DA2), it will tell you that it can be loaded on 5 different PCs, but there isn't a limit on the accounts you can use the game on, except for DLC of course, those are purchased straight from the account and loads with that account and I understand that. D2D is the least limited, but they don't sell DLC, AFAIK.
