Regarding the Mega Trainer (build 3241.0), Unlimited Movement, Massive Gold, F....

I have an updated copy of the game
Newest copy of the trainer

Get the "trainer activated" sound at main menu

Pressing any trainer keypad or even hitting "end turn", CTD every time... and no visual evidence of the trainer doing anything.

I have a fairly clean PC (new Hard Disk with win 7). S2TW works fine on its own (already completed a campaign), so I really can't see this not being a user/trainer issue.

What am I doing wrong? When I get the CTD, I get a generic "Shogun 2 Total War has stopped working" error.

Just to be clear, does the game only crash when the trainer is running? Have you tested without loading the trainer at all?

Game works fine/great with no Trainer

CTD before Turn 2 can begin, sometimes before I can do anything with the Trainer

I'm having the same exactly the same problem, game is running fine until I got trainer, I literely only signed up aboout an hour ago. Is there something I'm missing?

there are literally thousands of users using our trainer. problems as you guys are describing almost always occur due to something BLOCKING the injection of the game code by the trainer. the injection of the trianer into the game is crucial, since the game flow is directed to the trainer code. if the trainer code injection is blocked then the game flow is directed to 'nothing' and the game crashes.

something is blocking the trainer from doing what it does. could be a firewall, antivirus, antispam, anti malware, any sort of stuff like that.

the only other thing that could be doing it is a wrong version of game with wrong version of trainer, etc. the trainer would then be injecting into the wrong code locations since the executable would be different.

there's no way we can determine your problem from here and since a problem of this kind would EASILY be spotted here (i.e. crashing after pressing Turn 1, etc.) we can assure you that it isn't the trainer.

I will say, its a little scary to shut off firewalls, antivirus and such since I have to keep the PC online to run the trainers. Will is cause any issues to run the train, deactivate my connection, and then run the game?

Hey mate try downloading the BUILD 3241.0 trainer I did and it's working great now, thanks alot for the trainers Cal they're brilliant, sorry for being stupid and being quick to complain /
