This message is to counteract the other post that keeps on annoying me whenever i visit these pages. It is a good game, good graphics, decent story..........

I mean what the hell, lower your expectations, its a shooter for crying out loud.

Forget crysis 1 or crysis 2

I mean people call it a rip off of Call of Duty and Halo....and I am like, is that a bad thing? sheeesh

The stealth mechanic is fun, and the tactical approaches are fun.......

I like the campaign, and I am playing again to see if I missed any of the story line. I haven't gotten around to getting all the collectables. I think people mistake the whole 'sandbox' term. What they mean by 'sandbox' is that between the key points, or objectives, to move the story line, you can do what you want.

You can go the full stealth and sneak by, you can do the semi stealth, to draw your enemies to a spot, then mow them down with a HMG, or you can just do a full frontal attack and forget about the stealth. Like a kid in a sandbox, you play how you want to play within the confines your are given. There term of it being a sandbox does not refer to the environment. The game gives you tactic suggestions, I don't follow them, because I play how I want to play.

    Spoiler:
I can't wait to play Crysis 3, I want to know if you play Prophet while he has an eternal battle with Alcatraz as he tries to retake his body. I don't think the Nanosuit 2 is different in its origin from the Nanosuit 1. I think its just upgraded from coming into contact with the Ceph. The story points out Prophet popping out 3 years later in New York after going back to the island.

As far as how much was added into the game, its the same as most games for computer out there, do I think the game could of been better yes I do, do I blame it on Crytek, no I don't. I blame it on EA, they got there hands in too many cookie jars, and are restricting how many cookies others can have. Crytek cares about quality, EA cares about money. Crytek did a good job with this game. Most of the problems going on with the game at the moment, are small game glitches that are expected, or on terms of the multiplayer side, EA's fault.

The graphics are phenomenal. It would of been cool to see some of the old baddies though. More range, or being able to use some weapons more, would have been fun. The mechanics, and all of the game, were better in the places that counted. Overall I liked the game, and its got replay value.

    "Lower your expectations"

I don't keep expectations. A terrible game is just that terrible. This sequel offered absolutely nothing new, while also successfully dumbing itself down from its 2007 title. If you think this is THE BEST CRYSIS, you need some serious help. Asking others to lower their standards is just admitting that the game itself needs to be given "special circumstances" Sorry pal, for $59.99, that's not going to happen. I'll be playing CRYSIS 1 again.

Stealth "mechanic?" You mean cloaking, running up, shoot shoot. Oh watch out Alcatraz, cloak, *walk over* shoot. Tactical APPROACH? Oh look! Gunner! Wait, another gunner! Oh wait, another one! You call this tactical? It's mediocre at best given that its hardly free-roam anymore

Who told you to raise your expectations above what they said, no one. Everything they said would be in the game is in the game. So why come in this topic to bad mouth what we think, when you already have a topic that bad mouth's the game?

The stealth mechanic was improved, and how a nano suit would actually work was actually made more realistic in this game. The stealth use to always break no matter what you shot, now if you got a silencer it doesn't put much strain on the suits power to keep stealth. If you want to check what I mean by realistic, check out the dragon skin armor, which is an experimental nano weave. It hardens when it detects incoming projectiles. Having the suit always in armor mode, I.E. Crysis 1, would use energy to keep it in its hardened state, and would have slowed you down, because when it harden it also constricts movement. Like it does in Crysis 2. Not having any of the three modes active makes it more realistic.

"It's mediocre at best given that its hardly free-roam anymore " There was only slightly more free roam on crysis 1 and warhead, and the mechanics for what you do in that game was more dumbed down in that game then it is in this game. This one, you actually have to think on some parts how you want to take out enemies, if you don't take the stealthed approach, and your not using the trainer. The major sandbox feature, when they mentioned it always had to do with the tools to make new levels any way. So I think you just raised your standards to high.

This is the first game in a few years that has not crashed one time during game play from start to finish, so cant complain about the game being unstable or have a crap story because story was good and game ran with out faults.

The price range is high but no one forces you to buy it on release day so cant blame them for that either, and game actually has around 10hours of game time to complete it, where most other shooters and such have 6-8 hours MAX!, nothing to complain about there, has new features ingame so not just a sequal to Crysis 1, tactical view nano suit upgrades, nano vision love that one :P.

Would i have loved to see if my comp could run this game maxxed out with directX 11 features running hell yes, am i patient enough to wait and see when they release the patch yes because the game deserves the chance to really blow me away.

Reasons why i think it deserves a chance is

    1. Game ran stable all the way.
    2. The game took 10 hours to complete way more then most other fps games ive played lately.
    3. You get sandbox choices here 3 different ways of taking down a group of enemy's you have your own choice never forced to stealth it, where mission will fail if you kill anyone sort of thing.
