I activate the function at the end of my turn and it reverts back, as they said it would, but I still get famine warnings. Is this something I need to be concerned about. I haven't had any revolts or anything so i was wondering if these warnings were just triggered because I had a negative number at the start of the following turn.

Same issue here, i think it's not something to worry about mine is always negative when i enter a new turn or season as the game calls it. Just be sure to hit the numpad 3 option and increase it to 99999 before hitting the next turn button to avoid rebellions or famine etc.

I do hit the 3 button before I end the turn, so it reads 99999. Still get the famine warnings anyway.

Same as you. I also try but it comes back zero or minus.

I just use it at the end of every turn. I still get the warning. Nothing bad happens though.

If you hit it right AFTER you end your turn, when you see it revert back, you won't get any effects.

Why don't you guys build farms? If you build them the way they are in the game, and don't build the merchant stuff (i.e rice exchange) and don't build a citadel for every province(not needed) you will never have a problem with food shortages. If you don't build the market/rice exchange afterwards and so on, it won't eat up rice. Also, you can use that extra slot to build an encampment and give your units armor/ melee skills/ charge(horses) or marksmenship. If you play it right, you can sometimes have 2 bonuses per province, and you won't have to wory about rice and all those annoying popups every turn.
