Unfortunately there's no XP option..... THAT sucks. Well I guess we can always request that option if they're gonna keep working on this game.

It would be nice to get an updated trainer with more options as well, especially XP and Resource points.

I think the most useful option would be experience for your heroes. Testingcheat gives you money and mood, but not experience.
"The tools may be more effective than those who battled before you but make no mistake, you are no less a barbarian than your ancestors with their clubs and rocks. The only difference now is you do it without honor; cowering behind your guns, your bombs. You don't use tactic, just force..."

After messing around with the console, I find three things would be awesome in a trainer. I included the best way to find those values.

    1. XP for current hero
(Take the monarch patrolling, hunting or sailing for an easy to find value)

    2. Hyperfocus, focus bar always maxed
(Focus is the sum of all moodlets, take a passive trait like being alone or being in nature, then go to the forest to fulfill it. With testingcheatsenabled and CTRL+Click on the moodlet you can easily remove the focus, it will pop back up a few seconds later, enough to search for a value difference)

    3. Performance bar never degrades, allows us freeplay during quests
(QPerformance changes almost all the time as long as there are moodlets, I have no idea what the best way to find that value is)

Good ideas, and there are also others.

I don't know why they are taking so long to update that trainer, The Sims is an important title.
