Where did you get that "52%" drop from? That's just plain wrong. Any number that actually cares to include digital sales, show a good increase for PC. The same when you look at profits. Shops selling physical discs may or may not perhaps have a 52% decrease, thanks to digital, and web sales.
And Crysis 1 was waaay MORE a sandbox game than Crysis 2. That's what people are saying, me included. It might not be called a TRUE sandbox game at some anally detailed level. Some of us expected a contuining of the wonderful gameplay Crysis 1 gave us, not what's basically yet another CoD clone. Although extremely good looking.
I'm not saying I don't like Crysis 2, but it lacks "it", where Crysis 1 had "it". And Crysis 2 has a lot of "consolifications", such as immortal civilians, hateful save points and no proper save function. There are loads more, but never mind.
And while I'm at it, about being "picky". All those that complained that Crysis 1 was to demanding on hardware: You made games, and the market, worse. Crysis 1, as well as for example Doom 3, was made "futureproof". In effect, impossible to run at higher graphical levels at time of release, so that when you replay the game years later, it could be run with much better visuals. But thanks to all these ignorant complaints, that will not happen again in games, as it leads to bad publicity. Now Crysis 2 will look exactly the same on a new powerful rig 2-3 years from now, as it does on an average rig today.
PS. Once all people on the internet are comfortable speaking my native language, or that of Chaux, or anyone else really, we can start argue about grammar and spelling. Fram tills dess kanske man kan vara lite tolerant.
