I just finished the campaign. I got this game on Friday and I have to say it ended rather abruptly. To me this is a Halo 2 fiasco all over again. It further carries on confusing people and hardly gave any information as to the origins of the attacks from the first title to begin with. Graphic -wise, this is going to be better on PC (I played on X360) but this game seriously blew.
    Spoiler:
The scripted sequences had no shock factor like the first one, the sounds are so dull in terms of effects, and the New York buildings are one big joke.

The monsters can catapult their way into the entrance of a huge building and tear its foundations, but in some areas you single-evenhandedly take some down yourself? Not to mention the AI is incredibly stupid. They barely help and when they do, they just end up missing their shots. Literally, you can stand there and just see them firing for 1 hour, which shows how dumb the monsters are.

Finally, the worst part about this game is not only NYC but how they completely obliterated the sanbox adventure in the game. You do not get to go around but navigate in boxed long buildings etc. The NYC landscape has no iconic viusals (was a damaged Brooklyn Bridge too much to ask?)

Overall, I think Crytek has finally done one thing: they have failed. In hopes of not getting their asses pirated, they made a subpar game that I am Ebaying Day 1 (look out for it if you like bad games), and finally in the hopes of making money which they might for the idiotic console owners, they obliterated this into my category of one of the games to just pick up at Blockbuster. Mind you i own consoles but a lot of players on the consoles do not understand what Crysis was really about and will be fooled into thinking they are playing the next best thing.

I can't wait to see Crytek boasting their extraordinary sales figures and strutting that around. But sorry folks! Game sucks. This is all of course my opinion. I don't mean to say the action is completely bad, but in comparison Crysis 2 should have been way greater.

Not everyone wants to know what happens at times

So to stop people seeing things they don't want to, I spoiler'd most of the text.

    Also empty your inbox :P

Not sure what the deal is - but none of this is spoilers. It's simply stating the basic gameplay (do you consider the fact that you can shoot with weapons in this game a spoiler? or the fact that the enemy A.I. is completely stupid to be a spoiler?) Not to mention the AI is incredibly stupid. They barely help and when they do, they just end up missing their shots. Literally, you can stand there and just see them firing for 1 hour, which shows how dumb the monsters are.

Since they were not spoilers (I took some of the text which clearly isn't and put it here again)

To be fair crysis lost its sandbox after you meet the aliens, which was 30min in. Then it was tunnel after tunnel full of enemies.

I beg to differ, I just got to the part where I purchased my first suit upgrade and enjoying the game so far. Looks and runs great on my PC (completely maxed-out) but the graphics are not as a jaw-droppingly gorgeous as the first game. When they add DX 11 to this, that might change however. I have to say Crysis 2 has got one of the best soundtracks I have heard in a game.

From what ive read on the game so far with reviews you can play it differently each time, use the tactical view and find vantage points, and you can stealth it past most check points, and when you engage the enemy you can either go head to head and get outflanked if your not fast enough, get blown up by a rpg team, or you can place explosives on a car and throw that at them, use a gas can as a bomb throw that use speed mode and shot it above a patrol to take them out with 1 shot.

From the reviews and such i think im going to be impressed especially with the AI, especially in regards to them spotting you in stealth mode or seeing you go into stealth mode needs a small charge time before it is fully up. They will shout out high threat incoming and such and go aggressively about finding you.

So i cant wait until tomorrow when i can finally get the game and try it out for my self.
I am an old gamer and i need my trainers to help me complete them these days so i have started to look at what trainer options i have for my games and Cheat happens tend to not disappoint so thank you for the game enjoyment i can still have.

If you talk about Crysis 1, then no, it became a rail when it was 30 mins left, not 30 mins in. Before that, it was a great sandbox experience that I play 1-2 a year. And still find new routes and new stuff.

The impression I got so far of Crysis 2, is that the name should've been "Crysis of Duty" rather than "Crysis 2". Just like "Far Cry 2" should have been called "Crying in Africa", as it had nothing to do with Far Cry 1.

It still seem to be a good game, but Crysis 1 is still the best single player FPS ever.
