It might just be me but the game wont let me change the sound settings at all and i cant hear speech because the background noise drowns it out, is this a problem?

I have the same problem but the game let's me change the satting but still the i can't hear what they speak

I have noticed that if you look right at them you can't hear...but if you look to the right of the screen a bit...and have them on the left side of the screen...I can hear them.

I think I found something.

Check out under the installation folder -> GCGame -> Config -> Mixersettings.txt

I fiddled around with it and I made it "read only" and started the game again. No sound at all. Gonna try now without "read only" and seriously altered values in there.

Let us know how it turns out, there seems to be others with the same problem so im guessing theres a glitch in the coding somewhere

Nah, didn't work out. I'm thinking my installation of the game didn't go smoothly enough. Or then I have something wrong with my sound drivers or something else in that area.

A lot of people have been complaining on the Steam forums with a LOT of incompatibilities and stupid problems that shouldn't be there anymore for the players to worry about. It seems that the playtesting and QC is lacking with this game somewhat.

Sound settings not saving & volume anomalies are symptoms of running the broken Chinese cracked version.

So when my friend gave me his retail copy and had the same issue?

As of this moment there is no fix for the sound issues. Turn subtitles on and turn your speakers down.
