It actually took me to start trying to play this to realize it's an MMORPG based upon EA's notoriously horrible servers...
One can't even get beyond the intro without being suddenly disconnected.

Got the beta now, played it for 5hours straight! imo it's really fun gotta play it with atleast one friend though hehe

Preordered, already playing the beta... Looks good so far, even though my system supposedly doesn't meet the requirements.

Did not realize that the title Darkspore actually referred to the Spore games until playing though... Dense as usual I guess... I have all the others, loved them too, but not enough hack and slash, so to speak... This one should cater to that need quite nicely.

I played in the closed beta a short while ago, and now have the open beta from Steam. It's pretty fun, a lot like Diablo in many respects. Got the pre-order, definitely looking forward to it. It is a bit of a grind form time to time, but overall it's not boring.

PvP is always fun, when it works. Game is still Beta, and the PvP is mostly what they're trying to work on improving, along with minor graphical glitches. Luckily, there's an easy 'bug report' button if you hit anything game breaking or annoying.

I do hope you realize that this game will not be getting a trainer or any cheats to it. With it being an online game.

To be fair, I have seen trainers for Startcraft 2 and also C&C 4, regardless how horrible it maybe, and those too are indeed online games to, so clarify what you mean please. And as someone else said its an MMORPG... Hmm, not from what I can get outa the beta, it got a PvP aspect yes I agree there, but the campaign can be played both single and COOP, that to me says its not an MMO as such. Buth then again, I could be wrong ofcourse.

In any event I am looking forward to it as well and have preorded it from the EA store, and from there it says release date 27/04-2011

Normaly im bothered 5 days untill i finished playing it till the end. But its fun creating ur creature, as in spore but these games got lots of bugs so we'll see

Well, it has PvP that uses your semi-SP characters. So anything that would aide your SP toons aids your MP toons (for they are the same).

C&C4 and Starcraft 2 had a great distinction between SP and MP, but there isn't such a big distinction in Darkspore.

While the game is not a MMORPG in the sense of UO, Everquest and WoW. It is very much like Guild Wars. With instanced battle zones where several players play.
And even during those instanced missions that are carried by a single-player (the supposed SP component), you are still playing online and can experience lag and other such things.

Cheating in this game's SP would be cheating in MP as well.
