π is a Transcendental Number that is derived by taking the circumference of a circle and dividing it by the same circle's diameter.
Most common approximations: 3.14 22/7 355/113 (This is an easy to remember fraction that's accurate up to 10 digits of pi).

3.1415926535897932384626433832795028841971693993... We had a banner in our math class all of last year that went that far into it. We also had a lot of free time.
