Go to majesty 2\resource open up resource.pak with winrar. Extract contents to resource.mod and change any parameters to your hearts content.

Take into special consideration gamedata\magic\spells.xml open up with notepad and change the cost of any spell to a negative number and you gain gold whenever you cast a spell.
e.g.
spell name="magic_lightning" cost_money="-2500" icon="magic_lightning" player_spell_gfx="thunderbolt" target_gfx="thunderbolt_posteffect"

This will grant me 2500 gold for each click.

Also gamedata\units\rpg_params.xml You can modify unit base stats. I added plus 10 to every stat e.g.p

s_type>hero_warrior f_strength>24 f_agility>16 f_intellect>15 f_stamina>25 f_maxHealth>22 f_dps_hth>15 f_defence_hth>30 f_defence_range>20 f_defence_magic>10

I extracted the contents of the .pak file but when i launch the game it says asert fail. and crashes any help? it launches fine if i dont have anything in the resource.mod folder

Open Resource.pak, extract the 2 files that are in gameData\magic (spells.xml and spell.xsd) into x:\Steam\steamapps\common\majesty 2\resource.mod\gameData\magic
Edit spells.xml file for the modification as in the first thread. The modification for the units is not necessary and risky for a specific mission.
