Well it does look like you are new in the world of copy-protections. I will not further discuss on this issue since you seem to put suspicion on copy-protections as common as SecuROM which is used not only by EA, but also by other companies like Activision.

Also the person who filed the class action suit may also be uninformed on why EA or lets just say any other big developer/publisher does this - Which is to combat piracy (Even if they fail in the end).

I have no trainers in my game and avg found two files being infected. I just joined this site because of a google search.
I have done nothing to my game and this morning avg takes two files that can't be restored. I'm not sure who's fault it is but the game is now unplayable.

If you really want to go that extra mile of wasting your time:

The title of the virus is "heur" which is short of "heuristic" which means the AV is attempting to diagnose simply based on the behavior of the product. Maybe EA uses a scheme that downloads the game or patches that's similar to viruses I don't know. But I do know that AVG has a history with false positives which is the same in this case. If EA really is distributing malware then why are there no other complaints from users about the same problem? We've had hundreds and thousands swarm this message board for the trainer and not once have we heard them complain about "Game being a virus".

I'm not disagreeing with you. I'm telling you outright that you're wrong. There's a difference. Take it to AVG's support as to why you're getting a false positive, but don't open another topic here again.
